ABOUT THE ARTIST

Nadezhda Yakustidi, best known as Nadya, is a Russian-born (1967) contemporary visual artist based in Athens, Greece. Her style is described as creative expressionism with touches of symbolism, post-impressionism and fauvism.

 

She is a distinguished member of the International Union of Artists and the Russian Union of Artists, as well as the NYC-based International Fine Arts Consortium (IFAC) and London-based ArtCan (former What Is the Point?) arts collective. Nadya’s works are held in private collections, galleries and art salons in Greece, Australia, the Netherlands, Germany, France, Canada, Russia, the Unites States and the United Kingdom.

 

She has participated in numerous international exhibitions, including a solo show at the Regional Museum of History and Art in Stavropol region of Russia and group shows at Clerkenwell Gallery, Strand Gallery, 19 Greek Street Gallery and TOTO Concept Gallery in London. Nadya has held several successful solo exhibitions in the UK, including "THE BLISS OF COLOUR" hosted in Shoreditch in December 2016, "HELLAS INSPIRED VISUAL EXPRESSIONS" hosted at the London Latvian Cultural Centre in June 2017 and "VISUAL EXPRESSIONS: FROM ATHENS TO SHEFFIELD" which took place at the Circle Gallery in Sheffield in July 2017.

 

Nadya was an active contributor to the art project “Appearance of…”, a group exhibition that took place at the A&D Gallery in London in September 2017.  She was also a distinguished participant of the Annual ArtCan Exhibition, successfully held at the Camden Image Gallery in November 2017 and a Parallax Art Fair that took place at Kensington Town Hall in July 2018.

 

Most recently, in May 2023, Nadya showcased her works at the Boomer Gallery's art exhibition "Walking with Giants". The show was curated by a British writer and art critic, Anthony Fawcett, who has worked with such artists as Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Francis Bacon, Yoko Ono, John Lennon and others.
